What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The American Sighthound Field Association (ASFA) is an organization of Sighthound fanciers dedicated to the common goal of preserving and further developing the natural beauty, grace, speed and coursing skill of the Sighthound. ASFA maintains rules, procedures, and records for lure field trials. We endeavor to promote lure field trials for sighthounds. ASFA maintains and promotes the sport of lure coursing by means of a number of activities. These include: 1) Providing rules for the conduct of the trial, judge licensing, etc.; 2) Records keeping for championship Awards and Certificates; & 3) Information about the sport, including videos
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Animal Exhibitions & Shows: During the last year, ASFA sponsored over 250 field trials across the country. We had over 7,167 entries for dogs running for Certificates of Title. The Annual Convention of Delegates was held in Chantilly, VA With 57 delegates attending, representing 36 clubs. Our International Invitational was held in Peyton, CO with 133 entries for the two-day event.
