| FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION | AS A COMMITTED PARTNER WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA, WE NURTURE LIFELONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH AND AMONG CURRENT AND FUTURE WILDCATS WHILE OFFERING RELEVANT AND CUSTOMER-FOCUSED PROGRAMS THAT GENERATE SUPPORT AND LOYALTY TO THE UNIVERSITY. |
| FORM 990, PAGE 1, PART I, LINE 6 | ALUMNI VOLUNTEERS ARE COMPRISED OF NATIONWIDE VOLUNTEERS (MOSTLY VIA OUR AFFILIATES/CHAPTERS NETWORK) THAT PROVIDE PROGRAMMING TO ALUMNI WITHIN THEIR GEOGRAPHIC REACH OR WITHIN THEIR IDENTIFIED CONSTITUENCY GROUPS. PROGRAMMING INCLUDES SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISING EVENTS, ATHLETIC EVENTS, SPEAKER SERIES SEMINARS, AND GENERAL SOCIAL EVENTS. OUR STUDENT VOLUNTEERS ASSIST THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION WITH OUR ON-CAMPUS PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS, GENERALLY IN THE FORM OF WELCOMING AND GUIDING OUR ALUMNI DURING THEIR VISIT TO THE CAMPUS. |

THESE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ALSO PARTICIPATE IN A RETENTION PROGRAM THROUGHOUT THEIR COLLEGE CAREER, RESULTING IN RETENTION AND GRADUATION RATES THAT EXCEED THE RETENTION AND GRADUATION RATES OF THE OVERALL STUDENT POPULATION. THROUGH OUR CAREER LAB, THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HELPS WILDCATS FIND JOBS, ADVANCE THEIR CAREERS AND BUILD THEIR NETWORKS. THE UAAA OFFERS CAREER MANAGEMENT RESOURCES TO HELP ALUMNI REACH THEIR GOALS, INCLUDING JOB LISTINGS, IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL NETWORKING CONNECTIONS, CAREER WEBINARS, AND RESUME AND COVER LETTER REVIEWS. THE PUBLICATION IS THE ONLY PUBLICATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA THAT IS PROVIDED TO ALL 290,000 ALUMNI ONCE A YEAR, AND THREE TIMES A YEAR TO ALL PAID-ALUMNI MEMBERS AND DONORS. THE PUBLICATION PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF STORIES AND UPDATES ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY AND ALUMNI ACROSS THE WORLD, AND PROVIDES A UNIQUE WAY FOR ALUMNI TO STAY CONNECTED TO THEIR ALMA MATER. THE UAAA WORKS COLLABORATIVELY WITH THE UA AND UA FOUNDATION TO MAINTAIN THE ALUMNI DATABASE, RESULTING IN A VERY HIGH PERCENTAGE OF "CONTACTABLE" ALUMNI, AND ALLOWING US TO WIDELY DISTRIBUTE OUR PUBLICATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS TO OUR ALUMNI BASE.
