our credit union has had multiple personnel changes which caused management extra operational work. management staff always prepares the 990. being a small staffed credit union, the filing date of 05/15 each year is difficult to make. out credit union usually files for an extension of time and is approved for that extension. management was not aware that if the request for an extension was made after the filing deadline of 5/15 that the extension was not approved.
