Part X : FIN48 Footnote BAEDC is exempt from income taxes under Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c)(6). However, BAEDC is taxed on any unrelated business income. There was no significant income tax expense in 2018 or 2017. BAEDC applies guidance issued by the FASB on accounting for uncertainty in tax positions. Management believes BAEDC has no material unrecognized income tax positions, including any potential loss of its tax exempt status. BAEDC has no ongoing federal, state or local tax audits; however, BAEDCs tax return for the previous three fiscal years remain open to examination.
