What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE ASSOCIATION IS A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION FORMED TO CULTIVATE, PROMOTE AND DISSEMINATE KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION CONCERNING SURVEYING AND RELATED SUBJECTS.THIS IS ACCOMPLSIHED THROUGH WORKSHOPS, INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS, LOBBYING FOR SPECIAL INTERESTS AND LEGISLATIVE ISSUES AND NETWORKING WITH ALLIED PROFESSIONALS, SUCH AS ENGINEERS, ARCHITECTS AND ATTORNEYS.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 THE ASSOCIATION HELD MONTHLY MEETINGS AND MANY INTERIM NETOWRKING EVENTS, SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS DURING THE YEAR TO EVALUATE AND DISCUSS MANY LEGISLATIVE ISSUES AND OTHE INTIATIVES THAT EFFECT THE QUALITY OF THEIR INDUSTRY, PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS, ATTARCTING YOUTH TO THE SURVEYING PROFESSION, AND OTHER TECHNOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC FACTORS THAT ARE IMPACTING THEIR PROFESSION. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED THREE ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS IN NEED WHOM ARE SEEKING A CARRER IN SURVEYING.
