THEY ARE TRAINED IN BASIC TEACHING OF BIBLE KNOWLEDGE, AS WELL AS SERVICE,RESPONSIBILITIES,LEADERSHIP AND WORK ETHIC.SERVICES PROVIDED: YOUTH CORPS WORKERS ARE DISPATCHED TO VARIOUS PARTS OF THE ISLAND TO CONDUCT VARIOUS MINISTRIES, INCLUDING VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND STREET MEETINGS, WHEREBY THEY IMPART THE TRAINING WHICH THEY HAVE RECEIVED.YOUTH CORPS WORKERS CONSIST OF BETWEEM TWELVE AND FIFTEEN MEMBERS AND THEY IMPACT ROUGHLY 400 CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS, MANY OF WHOM ARE POTENTIALLY AT RISK. PART III CONTINUED: STATEMENT OF PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTSLINE 32: EDUCATION MINISTRY - EDUCATION AND EDUCATION ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED TO STUDENTS EITHER WITHIN THE LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL OR WITHIN THE LIGHTHOUSE MISSION COMPLEX. IT INVOLVES RIGOROUS TUTORTING AND DEVELOPMENT AND IMPARTING OF NEEDED INFORMATION THROUGH VARIOUS LEARNING AIDS TO ENSURE SUCCESS ON NATIONAL EXAMS AND HENCE, FURTHER OPPORTUNITY. LIFE SKILLS ARE ALSO IMPARTED WITHIN THIS CONTEXT TO MANY HIGH SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN THAT ARE ALSO AT RISK.SERVICES PROVIDED: APPROXIMATELY 50 HIGH SCHOOL CHILDREN ARE IN INVOLVED IN THIS PROGRAM FOR THE ENTIRE HIGH SCHOOL YEAR-SEPTEMBER THROUGH JULY. THEY ATTEND THESE TEACHING SESSIONS TWICE PER WEEK. THEY ALSO ATTEND OTHER SESSIONS FOR RESEARCH AND WRITING REQUIREMENTS AS ADDTIONAL SESSIONS IN PREPARATION FOR NATIONAL EXAMS. PART III CONTINUED: STATEMENT OF PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTSLINE 33: JUVENILE TEACHING AND TRAINING TO MINOR OFFENDERS. THIS IS A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES COUNSELING AND TRAINING IN LIFE SKILLS AND BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES TO AT RISK HIGH SCHOOL BOYS THAT HAVE COMMITTED MINOR OFFENSES. STUDENTS ARE IDENTIFIED WITHIN THE HIGH SCHOOL AND ASSIGNED TO THE CLASS WHICH MEETS TWICE PER MONTH.
