GSI provides regional economic research and planning efforts to implement target industry strategies. Combined economic development strategies support increased living standards and increased foreign direct investment throughout Washington. Our StartUp Spokane program connects entrepreneurs with the resources they need, providing support, co-working space, mentors, and training. Vision 2030 is an economic development strategy that will create robust healthcare and life sciences industry growth, with a goal of a $1.7 billion annual economic impact and over 9,000 jobs for our region by 2030. GSI provides the community leadership, partnering with business, healthcare, and education sectors, to create and execute the vision for a comprehensive, world-class class center of academic health sciences medical education, and life sciences research and commercialization.

	Greater Talent: GSI creates partnerships between business and education to build a workforce with the skills and talent to be successful. This includes programs such as Teaching the Teachers and Business After School which engaged over 32 businesses, 200 business professionals, 260 educators, 30 parents and more than 5800 students both directly and indirectly. Access2experience is an online platform to connect industry and education for the benefit of students. Our Spokane STEM Network engages students with the goal of increasing the number of students pursuing STEM competencies for their future careers. Our Greater Minds Initiative works to improve education attainment for adults in Spokane County, contributing to the community goal of increasing the percentage of adults with degrees, certificates and credentials from 40% to 60% by 2025.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 1a	The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors is delegated many of the governance decisions. The exceptions to the delegated responsibilities are delineated, not the delegated responsibilities themselves. The exceptions are: "Pursuant to RCW 24.03.115, and to the extent permitted by law, these bylaws hereby grant to the Executive Committee the full power and authority to manage the affairs of the Corporation unless otherwise designated or modified by a duly adopted resolution of the Board of Trustees. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Executive Committee shall not have the authority of the Board of Trustees in reference to amending, altering, or repealing these bylaws; electing, appointing, or removing any Member of any such committee or any Trustee or officer of the corporation; amending the articles of incorporation; adopting a plan of merger or adopting a plan of consolidation with another corporation; authorizing the sale, lease, or exchange of all or substantially all of the property and assets of the corporation other than in the ordinary course of business; authorizing the voluntary dissolution of the corporation or adopting a plan for the distribution of the assets of the corporation; or amending, altering, or repealing any resolution of the Board of Trustees which by its terms provides that it shall not be amended, altered, or repealed by such committee."

Subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees, all persons, businesses, firms and corporations interested in the pursuit of a healthy business climate and the general welfare of the Spokane region shall be eligible for regular membership. Members shall consist of all persons, firms and corporations who shall contribute the membership dues determined for a particular year by the corporation's Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees shall establish a minimum membership dues rate which shall be identified as the lowest annual investment.
