Broadband for America conducted educational outreach by discussions with and presentations to, policy makers, educators, opinion and thought leaders, and members of the general press. Over one thousand individuals were reached during these efforts. Broadband for America representatives attended events and acted as partial or full sponsors throughout the country focusing on demonstrations of broadband education and broadband use in the community. These conferences and related events attracted hundreds of attendees in multiple locations over the year.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 6: Explanation of Classes of Members or Shareholder Companies and third party entities that are Internet network builders, associations, and related organizations may become members by completing an application asking to be a part of the coalition promoting actions to make broadband access to the Internet available to every household and business. Membership is voluntary and free.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 8: Explanation of No Contemporaneously Documentation of Meetings There are no committees that have authority to act on behalf of the governing body.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b: Form 990 Review Process The three directors received and reviewed the Form 990 before it was filed.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts The three directors review vendor and independent contractor contracts in compliance with the conflict of interest policy. The organization has no paid employees, and none of the directors are personally compensated.
