General explanation attachment Primary Exempt Purpose:The Ethnic Chambaer of Commerce Coalition (ECCC) came together because traditional Chambers of Commerce in State of Washington failed to fully understand or represent the interests of many ethnic, immigrant, and minirity communities.Ethnic Chambers of Commerce Coalition is comprised of the Greater Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce, The King County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Greater Seattle Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce, Korean-American Chamber of Commerce, Filipino Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest, The Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of Seattle, Washington State India Trade Relationship Committee, Chinese American General Chamber of Commerce, and Korean-American Grocers Association of Washington. Part III Line 282018 activities focused on Business Outreach and Education on Seattle Citys labor laws. Our team and partners conducted various outreach activities include door-to-door, public speaking, tabling, flyer distribution. In addition to outreach, we conducted various workshops and one-on-one training. We developed online training tools to help business owners understand and implement process and procedures to be in compliance with the Seattle Labor Ordinances.
