What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Discover Purcellville is a merchants association dedicated to marketing Purcellville to the greater DC metropolitan region. Membership is open to local small business owners, corporations that do business in western Loudoun County and individual residents of Purcellville and surrounding towns. Discover Purcellville organizes and promotes outdoor art displays, community events like the annual Halloween Block Party and pop-up artist galleries to promote local artists in the community.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Discover Purcellville successfully completed its spring community art project of displaying around Purcellville 40 painted adirondack benches. We marketed the benches and planters in local newspapers and on Facebook and got free media coverage from NBC4. The benches were auctioned off in November.
