SCHEDULE I, PART I, LINE 2 PROCEDURES FOR MONITORING THE USE OF GRANTS: GRANT FUNDED SCHOOLS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION OR THEY ARE RECOMMENDED FOR FUNDING BY PLTW STAFF. IF THEY ARE FUNDED THROUGH A COMPETITION, SCHOOLS SUBMIT APPLICATIONS WHICH ARE THEN REVIEWED AND SCORED BY INTERNAL REVIEWERS. IN THE INITIAL YEAR OF THE GRANT, ALL GRANT FUNDED SCHOOLS MUST SIGN A GRANT AGREEMENT. EACH SUBSEQUENT YEAR, PLTW REQUESTS SCHOOLS RECEIVING SUPPORT SUBMIT TWO REPORTS: A GRANT REPORT, AND A GRANT FINANCIAL REPORT. THE GRANT REPORT REQUESTS SCHOOLS ANSWER QUESTIONS REGARDING SCHOOL AND STUDENT ENROLLMENT INFORMATION, ACCOMPLISHMENTS, CHALLENGES, AND MEDIA EXPOSURE. THE FINANCIAL REPORT ASKS SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR GRANT EXPENDITURES.
