Tax Relief for Victims of Hurricane Florence in Virginia The Organization was impacted by the declared major disaster in Virginia caused by Hurricane Florence. The IRS issued a tax relief notice for victims of Hurricane Florence in Virginia. Newport News was one of the counties mentioned as qualifying for tax relief. Specifically, the notice provides tax relief to extend the filing deadline to January 31, 2019 for impacted organizations. The Organizations books and records and all financial information to prepare this Form 990 are located within the Newport News disaster area and were impacted by the major disaster. As a result, the Organization is filing the Form 990 by the extended January 31, 2019 deadline. The Organization is hereby requesting the waiving of any late filing penalties per the notice. |
