What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE MISSION OF THE GREATER WASHINGTON ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL ADVISORS IS TO PROTECT AND ENHANCE THE LIVELIHOOD OF FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS AND CONSUMERS THROUGH ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION OF INDUSTRY MATTERS, WHILE PROMOTING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF ETHICAL BEHAVIOR.

28 NAIFA- GREATER WASHINGTON DC IS A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION REPRESENTING INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL ADVISORS THROUGHOUT THE WASHINGTON DC AREA. IT IS A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL ADVISORS' FEDERATION. NAIFA-GWDC PROVIDES MEMBERS WITH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, A NEWSLETTER, AND KEEPS THE MEMBERSHIP INFORMED ON ISSUES OF INTEREST TO INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS. DURING THE YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED IN-HOUSE CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMS, UPDATED NEWSLETTER PUBLISHED SIX TIMES DURING THE YEAR, AND PROVIDED PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP SPEAKERS TO THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP AT THE ANNUAL MEETING.
