WE TEACH STUDENTS HOW TO USE TECHNOLOGY, BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY, MAPS TEACHES STUDENTS HOW TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY. THROUGH HANDS-ON INSTRUCTION, STUDENTS ARE INTRODUCED TO THE CREATIVE PROCESSES OF IMAGINATION AND INSPIRATION AND TAUGHT HOW TO APPLY THESE SKILLS FOR FUTURE SUCCESS. MAPS IS A STATE REGISTERED LOCAL EDUCATION AGENCY (LEA) AND SERVES FIVE SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN RURAL RAVALLI COUNTY IN WESTERN MONTANA. 25% OF OUR ENROLLMENT IS HOME-SCHOOLED. AFTERSCHOOL CLASSES IN EACH DISCIPLINE RUN FOR 2 HOURS, 2 DAYS PER WEEK, MONDAY - FRIDAY, FOR 32 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS. SUMMER PROGRAM RUNS FOR 6 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS, WITH EACH DISCIPLINE RUNNING FOR A ONE WEEK INTENSIVE, MON - FRI, NOON - 4PM. MAPS CURRICULUM MEETS 96% OF MONTANA'S READING STANDARDS AND 93% OF MONTANA'S STANDARDS FOR MATHEMATICAL PRACTICE AS ESTABLISHED BY MONTANA OFFICE OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION.
