Return Reference Explanation
Part X, Line 2: Central Electric is a not-for-profit corporation which is generally exempt from federal and state income taxes under Section 501(c)(12) of the Internal Revenue Code. Central Electric is required to file IRS Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax, and pays income tax on unrelated business income, if any, on an annual basis. Future events may arise which could affect this tax-exempt status. Returns for the years ended December 31, 2017, 2016 and 2015 remain subject to examination by the Internal Revenue Service. Central Electric evaluated its tax positions and determined that it has no uncertain tax positions as of December 31, 2018 and 2017.
