	Membership Educational/Information Services: NCTA conducts at least 4 working group meetings at various sites around the country for all segments of the coal transportation industry. These working groups provide relevant information on current operations and technology and allow for networking opportunities. The Coal Transporter Magazine is produced on a semi-annual basis to inform members and non-members of relevant issues for the industry. NCTAs website has archives of past conferences and initiatives that are available to the membership. Current issues and special projects are undertaken at the direction of the Board of Directors on behalf of the membership interests.

General explanation attachment	Primary Exempt Purpose: NCTA provides education and facilitation for the resolution of coal transportation issues in order to serve the needs of the general public, industry, and all modes of transportation. This is accomplished through the sponsoring of educational fora and providing opportunities for the lawful exchange of ideas and knowledge with all elements of the coal transportation infrastructure.
