What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO HOLD AND DEVELOP COMMERCIALIZED TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS IN THE REGION
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 NORTHERN CORN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION WAS ORGANIZED AND HAS OPERATED FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOLDING AND DEVELOPING COMMERCIALIZED TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS IN THE AREA. ANNUAL GOALS INCLUDE CONDUCTING RESEARCH THAT HAS COMMERCIAL VIABILITY AND ALLOWING OTHER CORPORATIONS TO LEASE OR PURCHASE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY TO IMPLEMENT SAID RESEARCH. AS IS THE NATURE OF RESEARCH SOME PROJECTS ARE UNABLE TO MOVE FORWARD DUE TO FUNDING CONSTRAINTS OR ARE ABANDONED DUE TO A HOST OF OTHER REASONS UPON EVALUATING VIABILITY. IN 2018, NADC ENTERED INTO A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL AG GENOTYPING CENTER REGARDING AN EARLY DETECTION, GENETIC, BACTERIA-LOAD TEST, OR ASSAY, TO DETERMINE BACTERIA LOADS DURING ETHANOL PRODUCTION, WITH THE GOAL OF APPLYING THE TEST TO ALLOW THANOL PRODUCTION FACILITIES TO BETTER CONTROL BATERIA. THE ULTIMATE GOAL UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE RESEARCH INCLUDED SELLING OR LICENSING THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY TO A PRIVATE ENTITY OR COOP TO SEE THE TEST KITS COMMERCIALIZED FOR USE IN ETHANOL PLANTS.
