What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE VIRGINIA ASSOCIATION OF ADDICTION PROFESSIONALS MISSION IS TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF ALCHOLISM AND DRUG COUNSELING THROUGH THE PROFESSIONAL CODE OF ETHICS OF THE ASSOCIATION, AND THE ADOPTION OF STANDARDS OF COMPETENCE WHICH WILL INSURE THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF COUNSELING TREATMENT TO HELP PERSONS WHO HAVE PROBLEMS RELATED TO THE USE OF ALCOHOL AND/OR OTHER DRUGS.
