Part X : FIN48 Footnote	Income Taxes and Uncertain Tax Positions Income Tax Status BBB is a not-for-profit corporation exempt from income taxes on income related to its exempt purpose under Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code and is subject to a tax on income from any unrelated business, as defined by Section 509(a)(1) of the Code. There are no unrelated business activities that would trigger a tax liability. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes as been made in the accompanying financial statements.BBB has adopted the recognition requirements for uncertain income tax positions as required by generally accepted accounting principles. Income tax benefits are recognized for income tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return only when it is determined that the income tax position will more-likely-than-not be sustained upon examinations by taxing authorities. The organization has analyzed tax positions taken for filing with the Internal Revenue Service and all state jurisdictions where it operates. The organization believes that income tax filing positions will be sustained upon examination and does not anticipate any adjustments that would result in a material adverse effect on the organizations financial condition, results of operations, or cash flows. Furthermore, the organization is subject to routine audits by federal and state taxing authorities. Federal and state tax statutes stipulate that tax returns filed in any of the previous three reporting periods remain open to examination. Currently, there are no open examinations with the Internal Revenue Service or the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 7b: Describe Decisions of Governing Body Approval by Members or Shareholders	International Association of the Better Business Bureau (IABBB) oversees actions of all BBB within North America. BBB must comply with IABBB to maintain its charter as part of the organization.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b: Form 990 Review Process	A copy of form 990 prepared by the independent accountant is sent to the president to review and distribute to the executive board for approval before filing. The president signs the tax return. The 990 is reviewed at the next scheduled full board meeting and a copy is sent to CBBB. The president has the authority to conduct all financial matters on behalf of the board of directors and represents the organization in all business matters, including the authority to sign contracts, file government forms, conduct and execute payroll or other distribution of funds with the full authority of the board.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts	Board members are required to sign conflict of interest statements each year. During board meetings there is a review of possible conflicts of interest that may arise. At this time a solution is proposed on how to handle the conflict of interest.
