Explanation:

Robert Bartol was the CEO of our credit union and was always responsible for filing the Form 990 every year. Unfortunately, he was terminated by the Board in February this year. I was not made aware of the due date of this form before his departure. And I was not familiar with the form at the time. After Mr. Bartol left the credit union, I immediately had to take on extra responsibility to be the acting CEO for the past five months in addition to my own responsibility as the CFO of the credit union. Due to the current pandemic situation, some of our staff members were affected by COVID-19 and we were short-staffed. I was so focused on assuring the safety and well-being of our employees and members as well as maintaining the daily business operations of our credit union. As a result, I was not able to complete this form in time and I sincerely apologize for the late filing.
