Dorcas is pursuing a Bachelor in Education at The Catholic University of Eastern and Central Africa, while Teresia and Mercy are both studying Hospitality Management at Utalii University College.Empowering Youth Cambodia grew their social work program and conducted 331 home and student visits, which kept 180 kids in school.Shared Action Africa (Uganda) enabled over 4,221 refugee women and youth of reproductive age to access family planning services.The Beso Foundation (Uganda) opened a high-quality secondary school closer to the community to avoid long walking distances. The school will teach 147 students (65% girls) and employ 27 teachers and assistants.Kajo Kejii (Uganda/South Sudan) treated 7,000 patients and reached over 65,000 individuals, including children, with community-based health education. During a flood disaster in Migori County, Kenya, nearly 1,800 people were displaced. The Lwala Community Alliance responded by providing food, health services, and water treatment packages.The BBC collaborated with CDTD (Kenya) to produce the documentary The Hidden Lives Of 'Housegirls, about the issues and injustices experienced by domestic workers in Kenya. The film has had over 1 million views.Sps Nihangaza, FVS-Amade (Burundi), received the Worlds Childrens Honorary Award 2019, for her 25 years of fighting to help Burundis orphaned and most vulnerable children.The founders of Fundi Bots (Uganda), Shule Direct (Tanzania), and Women In Technology Uganda, all received the African Diaspora Network's 2019 Builders of Africas Future Award. The award celebrates innovation and impact in early stage African enterprise.The Action Foundation (Kenya) founder Maria Omare won the US Department of State Professional Fellows Alumni Impact Award for her work to improve the education, health, social, and economic outcomes of young children and girls with disabilities living in poverty. |

After completion of said returns, the organization is sent a draft of the tax returns to be reviewed and examined. The organization makes copies of the returns and distributes to those individuals charged with governance. Those individuals at that time can review and if applicable discuss any line items in the return with the accountant who has prepared the return. If all items are found to be acceptable, an authorization is signed and provided to authorize the outside accounting firm to process, sign and provide copies of the returns to be filed (paper or electronically) with the designated governmental agencies. The tax returns are then signed by the organization, stamped and mailed with certified return receipt or the signed form 8879 is provided to the outside accounting firm allowing electronic filing. |
