What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The mission of AHS is to advance the science, practice and public understanding of hydrology and water resources in Arizona and the arid southwest. Our vision is to serve as the premier hydrologic resource for the professional community and the general public in Arizona and the arid southwest. We will accomplish this vision by: establishing an open forum for information exchange among professionals concerned with hydrology and water resources in the arid southwest; promoting and supporting public understanding, education, and training in the science and technology of hydrology and water resources; and by supporting all of the above goals through the funding of meetings, scholarships, grants and any other outreach and educational activities which further the business of the Society.
