Form 990, Part VI, Line 7a: How Members or Shareholders Elect Governing Body	The members as defined in the bylaws contractor and technical business members elect officers in their local branches chapters. Those officers serve on the CGA board of directors, the governing body. Business members of the manufacturer/supplier division also elect officers who fill 4 slots on the CGA board of directors.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 7b: Describe Decisions of Governing Body Approval by Members or Shareholders	The CGA board of directors annually elects the state level officers. The members, as defined in the bylaws, confirm officers at the annual membership meeting held during the CGA convention. The board of directors can amend the bylaws except for any provisions which significantly impact members as set forth in CA corporations code section 7150.
