What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The purpose of this chapter includes providing events for their members to engage in continuing legal education with other members and members of the judiciary of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida; promoting the administration of justice; upholding a high standard for the federal judiciary, attorneys representing the government of the United States, and attorneys appearing before courts, departments, and agencies of the United States; encouraging cordial and friendly relations among the members of the legal profession; and promoting the welfare of attorneys employed by the government of the United States.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Provides bi-monthly events for members featuring judges or other legal luminaries, including an annual judicial reception to encourage and promote cordial and friendly relations among the federal judges of the Southern District of Florida and the local bar (attendance approx. 60-120 per event).
