Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Advocacy Fund engaged in issue advocacy and grassroots communication efforts in support of legislative renewal of the Knowles Nelson Stewardship Fund (KNSF). This involved contacts with constituents of key state legislators urging them to contact their legislative representative, providing information in support of KNSF, and in some cases directly connecting the constituent by phone to the legislator. Partly as a result of these efforts the Wisconsin legislature approved renewal of KNSF for two years.

Return Reference Explanation
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 12 The Advocacy Fund has entered into a resource allocation agreement with Gathering Waters, Inc. (GW), an unrelated 501(c)(3) organization. The two organizations share staff and other operating expenses. During 2019 GW paid $22,667 in personnel costs on behalf of The Advocacy Fund (including $3,909 to the Executive Director), and $3,400 in occupancy costs. The Advocacy Fund reimbursed GW for these costs and has included them in the expenses disclosed on its 2019 Form 990-EZ.
