Return Reference Explanation
PART V, LINE 4: THE ENDOWMENT FUNDS CONSIST OF APPROXIMATELY 500 INDIVIDUAL FUNDS ESTABLISHED BY DONORS TO PROVIDE ANNUAL FUNDING FOR SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES AND GENERAL OPERATIONS (THE ENDOWMENT). THE ENDOWMENT ALSO INCLUDES CERTAIN UNRESTRICTED NET ASSETS DESIGNATED FOR ENDOWMENT BY THE BOARD. NET ASSETS ASSOCIATED WITH ENDOWMENT FUNDS ARE CLASSIFIED AND REPORTED BASED ON THE EXISTENCE OR ABSENCE OF DONOR-IMPOSED RESTRICTIONS. THE PRIOR THREE YEAR ENDOWMENT ENDING BALANCES DO NOT TIE TO THE ENDOWMENT BEGINNING BALANCES DUE TO A CHANGE IN REPORTING OF AGENCY FUNDS. IN PRIOR YEARS, AGENCY FUNDS WERE NOT INCLUDED IN FUND BALANCE CONSISTENT WITH FINANCIAL STATEMENT REPORTING UNDER ASC 958. A CHANGE HAS BEEN MADE TO REPORT THE ACTIVITY OF THE AGENCY FUNDS ON THE FORM 990 OF THE FOUNDATION AS THE FOUNDATION IS THE OWNER OF THESE FUNDS.
PART X, LINE 2: ICF IS ORGANIZED AS AN IDAHO NONPROFIT CORPORATION AND HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED BY THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE (IRS) AS EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAXES UNDER SECTION 501(A) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE AS AN ORGANIZATION DESCRIBED IN SECTION 501(C)(3), QUALIFIES FOR THE CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTION DEDUCTION UNDER SECTION 170(B)(1)(A)(VI), AND HAS BEEN DETERMINED NOT TO BE A PRIVATE FOUNDATION UNDER SECTION 509(A)(1). THE ENTITY IS ANNUALLY REQUIRED TO FILE A RETURN OF ORGANIZATION EXEMPT FROM INCOME TAX (FORM 990) WITH THE IRS. IN ADDITION, THE ENTITY IS SUBJECT TO INCOME TAX ON NET INCOME THAT IS DERIVED FROM BUSINESS ACTIVITIES THAT ARE UNRELATED TO THE EXEMPT PURPOSES. WE HAVE DETERMINED THAT THE ENTITY IS NOT SUBJECT TO UNRELATED BUSINESS INCOME TAX AND HAS NOT FILED AN EXEMPT ORGANIZATION BUSINESS INCOME TAX RETURN (FORM 990-T) WITH THE IRS. WE BELIEVE THAT THE ENTITY HAS APPROPRIATE SUPPORT FOR ANY TAX POSITION TAKEN AFFECTING ITS ANNUAL FILING REQUIREMENTS, AND AS SUCH, DOES NOT HAVE ANY UNCERTAIN TAX POSITIONS THAT ARE MATERIAL TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. WE WOULD RECOGNIZE FUTURE ACCRUED INTEREST AND PENALTIES RELATED TO UNRECOGNIZED TAX BENEFITS AND LIABILITIES IN INCOME TAX EXPENSE IF SUCH INTEREST AND PENALTIES ARE INCURRED.
PART XI, LINE 4B - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS: FUNDRAISING EVENT EXPENSES -22,790. AGENCY REVENUE REPORTED IN REVENUES FOR TAX PURPOSES 6,577,181.
PART XII, LINE 4B - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS: AGENCY EXPENSES REPORTED IN EXPENSES FOR TAX PURPOSES 825,003. FUNDRAISING EVENT EXPENSES -22,790.
