What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Advocate for USDA Guaranteed Lending programs to support rural economic development. NRLA proposes to educate the banking communities of the advantages of such loans through their membership and outreach to improve rural communities.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The National Rural Lenders Association (NRLA), filed with the State of Louisiana Secretary of State on November 10, 2014, with around 12 members. The association increased in membership to 58 members as of 12/31/2019.The NRLA Board of Directors had a monthly teleconference with those Directors available to discuss NRLA projections and proposals. The association had its fourth annual conference in October of 2019. In addition, NRLA sponsored one (1) P3 (Public Private Partnerships) in New Orleans, LA. USDA staff and NRLA members met to discuss how each group could network and partnership in making the USDA Guaranteed program to work in its capacity.The purpose of NRLA is to Advocate for USDA Guaranteed Lending programs to support rural economic development. Guaranteed lending is an often overlooked resource for the needed capital for businesses and communities in rural America that often goes unmet. Various guaranteed lending programs fill and important gap in access to capital for rural businesses, communities, and not-for-profit and tribal entities.
