The Chamber has adopted the provisions of FASB ASC 740-10 and as a result has identified its exemption from income tax under Section 501(c)(6) as a tax position which falls within the scope of this FASB ASC section. The Chamber does not believe this tax position will result in any change to its financial position. These returns are subject to examination by tax jurisdictions (generally for three years from the filing date), and as a result, returns for the years subsequent to the year ended December 31, 2016 remain subject to examination. No interest or penalties with regard to income taxes have been recognized in the Statement of Financial Position or Statement of Activities.
