Briefly describe the organization’s mission: Wisconsin Conservation Voters engages voters to protect Wisconsin's environment. We are dedicated to electing conservation leaders, holding decision makers accountable, and encouraging lawmakers to champion conservation policies that effectively protect Wisconsin's natural resources and public health.

	WCV protects natural resources and public health by working in the Wisconsin Legislature to pass proactive conservation policy and to stop policies that damage our air, land, and water. Governor Tony Evers proclaimed 2019 the "Year of Drinking Water" and issued executive orders that address PFAS, lead and nitrate contamination of drinking water - positions that WCV supports and has worked to prioritize in past election campaigns. In 2019 WCV worked to extend to all parts of the state NR151, an action of the Natural Resources Board that strengthens manure spreading rules in eastern Wisconsin. We are also working in support of proposed legislation to provide funds to local communities and school districts to remove and replace lead water pipes, and to provide testing for lead in schools and daycares. And WCV is encouraging local governments and state leaders to advance policies that will lead to 100% clean energy and reduce climate emissions.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 2	Don and Mary Stirling, both members of the board of directors, are husband and wife. The two share a single seat on the board and are entitled to a single vote in board decision-making.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	WCV's Form 990 is reviewed by the Executive Director and the organization's Audit and Finance Committee prior to filing. A copy of the Form 990 is made available electronically to all members of the board of directors for review.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c	The Executive Director collects and reviews conflict of interest statements completed by each board member annually, and communicates any potential conflicts of interest to the individuals involved. Board members who have a conflict of interest are expected to excuse themselves from participation in deliberation and decision making about matters involving the conflict.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15	The Board of Directors authorizes compensation of the Executive Director annually, based in part on information obtained from informally surveying compensation paid by comparable organizations, most recently in 2018.

Pursuant to a cost sharing agreement, the two organizations share the cost of her compensation and that of other WCV staff members. In 2019 Wisconsin Conservation Voters paid $34,785 of her total compensation, and Wisconsin Conservation Voices paid $77,368 (including benefits).
