VBSR also serves members as an information clearinghouse on socially responsible business practices and resources.

VBSR identifies public policy issues of importance to our business members through public policy surveys and forums and adopts triple-bottom-line organizational positions on a variety of public policy issues. VBSR educates businesses, the public and legislators on the issues via workshops, forums, and newsletters, and provides a policy voice on behalf of members.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts	The VBSR bylaws contain a Conflict of Interest section that outlines Directors fiduciary obligation to act in the best interest of the Corporation and to not use Director position for direct or indirect profit or gain. VBSR has established a conflict of interest policy and Directors are required to disclose conflicts or potential conflicts to the Board and to abstain on such matters. Annually, the Board and the members of the Public Policy Committee are educated about the Bylaws and the Policy and are required to submit conflict of interest forms.
