This form was filed on July 1, 2020 and mailed into the IRS. The previous bookkeeper that filed it is no longer with the Legion. No notice was received at the Legion that it was not filed until Notice CP259A dated September 21, 2020. I subsequently mailed in a copy on September 24, 2020. I then received a letter dated September 30, 2020, stating that as of July 1, 2019, Form 990 had to be filed electronically. Apparently the former bookkeeper did not know that. I would like to request that any late charges be dropped as it was a misunderstanding on her part and I had not yet come on board. My name is Beverly Patchin and I am now in charge of the bookkeeping for this Legion.
