| Form 990, Part III, Line 3: Ceased Conducting or Significant Changes To Services | #1 - In 2018, Pharos completed a project for Coalition Plus. Objective was to assist countries to develop analyses to help stakeholders to make decisions on whether to start a hepatitis C treatment program. Accomplishments - Developed an investment case for Indonesia and Morocco for scaling up hepatitis C treatment and prevention programs. Evaluated the cost of scale-up under different scenarios, health impact of reducing mortality and morbidity from hepatitis C, and estimated the return on investment.===================================================================================#2 - With Unitaid - Objective was to assist countries to plan for financing and operating Hepatitis C programs aiming at eliminating Hepatitis C infections and illness. Accomplishments - Completed Hepatitis C strategy which was presented to Unitaid's board of directors.==================================================================================#3 - In 2018, Pharos completed a project for Nutrition International. The objective was to estimate the potential return on investment of Nutrition Internationals 2018-2024 strategy. Accomplishments - Developed an investment case for Nutrition International to estimate the health impact and return on investment with $700M of program funding.===================================================================================#4 - With the TATA project, Pharos developed a report on how to improve the child supplemental nutrition feeding program in India. This project was completed at the end of 2018.===================================================================================t #5 - Miscellaneous projects with Duke University regarding health and nutrition projects.===================================================================================#6 - Project with ECF - Objective was to assist ECF in developing their nutrition strategy worldwide and get it approved internally.Accomplishments - Strategy completed and delivered to ECF management and board.===================================================================================#7 - Projects with UNAIDS. Objective - To assist countries to plan for financing and operating HIV/AIDS programs currently supported by donors. Accomplishments - Developed a transition risk assessment for Tanzania, Morocco and Algeria as the Global Fund plans to gradually withdraw funding for HIV and TB programs.===================================================================================#8 - In 2019, Pharos completed the project to assist ministries of health and finance to make informed decisions on whether to scale-up access to novel Hepatitis C cures, and to develop strategies to mobilize resources to fund these programs. Pharos provided technical assistance to middle-income countries to estimate costs, determine impact, and developing investment cases to provide a rationale for directing health resources towards these new life-saving programs to eliminate viral hepatitis.==================================================================================== |
