Explanation:
We would like to request an abatement of the estimated late filing penalty of 1,080. Central Texas Golf Association, Inc. filed the applicable extension prior to May, 15, 2018, and it was accepted. However, our accountant needed additional time beyond the extended due date to ensure the financial information was accurate. Payment of this penalty would have a huge negative impact on the ability of our organization to continue running the program. There was no attempt on our part to withhold information from the IRS or prejudice towards the Federal Government. We respectfuly request abatement of any late filing penalties and interest.
