What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE LODGE IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION EXEMPT FROM INCOME TAX UNDER SECTION 501 (C)(8) OF THE INTERNAL CODE. ALTHOUGH THE LODGE WAS GRANTED INCOME TAX EXEMPTION BY THE INTERNAL SERVICE, SUCH EXEMPTION DOES NOT APPLY TO "UNRELATED BUSINESS TAXABLE INCOME". THE LODGE HAD NO "UNRELATED BUSINESS TAXABLE INCOME" IN 2014. A FRATERNAL BENEFICIARY SOCIETY'S INVESTMENT INCOME IS EXEMPT FROM TAX UNDER CODE SECTION 512(B).
