Other In 2019, ImmigrationWorks USA focused primarily on educating lawmakers about the economic contribution of Dreamers brought to the US illegally as children and long-time foreign-born US residents with Temporary Protected Status. The organization worked closely with members of Congress to advance legislation creating a temporary visa program for less-skilled foreign workers. ImmigrationWorks also cochairs the Essential Worker Immigration Coalition, which brings together some two dozen trade associations from across sectors that employ less-skilled immigrant workers to share information and coordinate advocacy efforts.
