Explanation:

Our previous treasurer, Ms. Diane Martin CPA, suffered a severe injury in 2019. This injury rendered her unable to complete and file the return. As we are a completely volunteer organization, it took quite some time to recruit a new treasurer with the background and knowledge and ability to take on the responsibility. James Foley was appointed treasurer in August 2020 and immediately began catching up with the books (in Quickbooks) to work to get them in order such that the 2019 990-EZ could be completed.
