DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, STRETCHING FROM JULY 2018 THROUGH JUNE 2019, LWVEF CONTRIBUTED TO REGISTERING APPROXIMATELY 175,000 VOTERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. FOR THE SEVENTH YEAR IN A ROW, THE LEAGUE WAS THE LARGEST ON-THE-GROUND PARTNER OF NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY IN SEPTEMBER 2018, WHERE LEAGUE VOLUNTEERS HELD MORE THAN 400 REGISTRATION EVENTS THAT CONTRIBUTED TO REGISTERING MORE THAN 32,000 VOTERS ON ONE DAY ALONE. LWVEF REGISTERED MORE THAN 28,000 NEW CITIZENS AT MORE THAN 750 NATURALIZATION CEREMONIES DURING THIS TIMEFRAME. THROUGH THE YOUTH VOTER REGISTRATION PROJECT, LWVEF HOSTED MORE THAN 750 HIGH SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY COLLEGE REGISTRATION EVENTS IN THE SPRING OF 2019, REGISTERING MORE THAN 20,000 NEW VOTERS. DURING THIS TIMEFRAME THAT COVERED THE 2018 MIDTERM ELECTIONS, LWVEF'S WORK TO EDUCATE VOTERS REACHED APPROXIMATELY 5 MILLION USERS ON VOTE411.ORG, THE LEAGUE'S ELECTION WEBSITE OPERATED BY LWVEF. VOTE411.ORG PROVIDES VOTERS WITH CUSTOMIZED INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR ELECTION DAY RESOURCES INCLUDING THEIR POLLING PLACE LOCATION AND HOURS OF OPERATION, EARLY OR ABSENTEE VOTING RULES, REGISTRATION DEADLINES, ID REQUIREMENTS, AND MORE. LWVEF ALSO POPULATES THE SITE WITH CANDIDATE INFORMATION EVERY ELECTION CYCLE. FOR THE 2018 FALL MIDTERMS, LWVEF REACHED OUT DIRECTLY TO NEARLY 5,000 CANDIDATES AND STATE AND LOCAL LEAGUES REACHED OUT TO NEARLY 20,000 ADDITIONAL CANDIDATES, REQUESTING THEY ANSWER THE LEAGUE'S NONPARTISAN QUESTIONS FOR THE ONLINE VOTER GUIDE. IN ADVANCE OF THE 2019 PRIMARY ELECTIONS, LWVEF POSTED INFORMATION ON MORE THAN 1,000 CANDIDATES RUNNING FOR OFFICES ON VOTE411. IN THE SPRING OF 2019, LWVEF ALSO BEGAN A THOROUGH REDESIGN OF VOTE411.ORG IN PREPARATION FOR THE 2020 ELECTION CYCLE. THE GOAL OF UPGRADING VOTE411.ORG WAS TO IMPROVE THE USER EXPERIENCE FOR VOTERS SEEKING CANDIDATE INFORMATION, RESOURCES ABOUT VOTING AND REGISTRATION. WITH THE SUPPORT OF LWVEF, STATE AND LOCAL LEAGUES HOSTED MORE THAN 750 CANDIDATE DEBATES AND FORUMS DURING THIS TIMEFRAME, HELPING TO EDUCATE TENS OF THOUSANDS OF VOTERS IN THE LEADUP TO THE 2018 MIDTERM ELECTIONS AS WELL AS 2019 PRIMARY ELECTION SEASON.
