	Doctors of optometry in North Dakota are required to attend 50 hours of continuing education in a 3 year cycle in order to maintain their license to practice. The education attended must be approved by the North Dakota State Board of Optometry.The annual congress held Oct 3-4, 2019 had 96 registrants, who attended state approved training courses for a total of eleven (11) hours of continuing education.Continuing education assures that Doctors of Optometry, practicing in the state of ND, are well-informed in the latest practices, technology, procedures, pharmacology, management modalities and developments in eye care.

The education attended must be approved by the North Dakota State Board of Optometry.The spring conference held March 28-29, 2019 had 51 registrants, who attended state approved training courses for a total of nine (9) hours of continuing education. Continuing education assures that Doctors of Optometry, practicing in the state of ND, are well-informed in the latest practices, technology, procedures, pharmacology, management modalities and developments in eye care.
