What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Promotes the social welfare of the men and women currently serving and retired from the Armed Forces of the United States. Educates the public and members of Congress about the uniformed services and gives voice to members' concerns about military pay, health care, pension and disability, survivor benefits, education, housing, child care, and other quality-of-life programs. Conducts Widow(er) Assistance Program and provides Scholarships. Sponsors and participates in patriotic activities.
