What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE ASSOCIATION'S GROSS RECEIPTS CONSIST OF CHARGES AGAINST MEMBERS IN PROVIDING ADVOCACY, INFORMATION, DATA, AND SUPPORT TO ENSURE SAFE TRANSPORTATION AND A SUCCESSFUL TRUCKING INDUSTRY SERVING THE NEEDS OF BUSINESS AND COMMUNITIES, IN INTRASTATE, INTERSTATE, AND FOREIGN COMMERCE, AND TO TRANSACT ANY AND ALL LAWFUL BUSINESS, FOR WHICH A NON-PROFIT BUSINESS MAY BE INCORPORATED. ALL OF THE EXPENDITURES OF THE ASSOCIATION ARE MADE OUT OF THE RECEIPTS AND OTHER INCOME FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE ASSOCIATION WAS ORGANIZED.

28 THE ASSOCIATION IS ORGANIZED FOR SEVERAL PURPOSES, AMONG THEM TO ENABLE COOPERATIVE AND ECONOMY OF MEMBERS WITH RESPECT TO ENABLE PROMPT DISSEMINATION OF DECISIONS, BULLETINS, AND OTHER PROPER INFORMATION TOUCHING THE BUSINESS WELFARE OF THE MEMBERSHIP AND THE INDUSTRY TO WHICH THEY ARE ENGAGED. THE ABOVE CATEGORIES OF INCOME RELATE TO INFORMATION AND SERVICES PERFORMED BY THE ASSOCIATION FOR THESE EXPRESS PURPOSES.
