What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? We believe that womens fiction heightens human connection, engenders empathy, and illuminates new perspectives. By consciously supporting all voices and providing tools and resources to rigorously develop craft, the Womens Fiction Writers Association fosters successful careers, meaningful relationships, and the creation of resonant, diverse stories.

28 Over a thousand members strong, WFWA is the premier organization for women's fiction. We are a volunteer-run, welcoming community that purposely fosters a climate of inclusion and opportunity. Members form meaningful connections and experience the diversity of humanity, which includes differences in sex, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.
