| Form 990, Part V, Line 3b | The Philadelphia Curling Club held 14 Corporate Events (averaged 16-20 people per Event) which was manned by volunteers to teach the public about the sport of Curling including the reliance on your team members. We showed income of $23,290 for such Corporate Events. In addition, we held a Curling Class for 13 members of the public which consisted of 4, 2 hour classes manned by volunteers. The Club showed income of $1731 for the Curling Class and 5 actually became Dues paying members. Such events are considered as Unrelated Business Income but are related to the sport of curling and serve to enhance people's understanding of the sport while providing income that the Club uses to provide free curling to the youngsters and put towards the Club's physical plant. |
