IN 2019, ONE EDUCATED THE PUBLIC, MEDIA AND POLICY MAKERS IN ALL MARKETS IN WHICH IT WORKS ON THE ACHIEVEMENTS AND CASE FOR INVESTMENT OF THE GLOBAL FUND FOR AIDS, TB AND MALARIA, IN ANTICIPATION OF ITS SIXTH REPLENISHMENT CONFERENCE, HELD IN LYON, FRANCE. ONE EDUCATED ITS GRASSROOTS SUPPORTERS, THE MEDIA, AND POP CULTURE INFLUENCERS. IT DEVELOPED A "CONSTITUENCY CALCULATOR" TO HIGHLIGHT HOW LOCAL JURISDICTIONS ARE HELPING SAVE LIVES THROUGH THE GLOBAL FUND. THE FUND REACHED ITS HISTORIC TARGET OF $14B IN COMMITTED FUNDS FROM ITS DONORS, INCLUDING A SIGNIFICANT COMMITMENT FROM (RED). ONE CONDUCTED A YEAR-LONG PROJECT AHEAD OF THE FRENCH-HOSTED G7 SUMMIT IN BIARRITZ, FRANCE, TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF GENDER EQUALITY. ONE RAISED AWARENESS OF THE NEED FOR MEASURES TO SUPPORT GENDER EQUALITY, SUCH AS THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION TO TRACK THE IMPLEMENTATION OF GENDER LAWS, INCREASING DIGITAL FINANCIAL ACCESS, AND BETTER PARTNERSHIP WITH AFRICA. ONE'S WORK WAS AMPLIFIED BY A SERIES OF FINANCE-THEMED #PROGRESSNOTPROMISES MATERIALS - INCLUDING BRANDED 'BANKNOTES' FLYERS SHARED WITH DECISION MAKERS IN PARIS, OTTAWA, BERLIN, LONDON, AND BRUSSELS. THESE URGED MINISTERS TO DISCUSS FINANCIAL INEQUALITY AND TO WORK TO GIVE 240 MILLION AFRICAN WOMEN ACCESS TO DIGITAL FINANCIAL SERVICES. ONE ALSO PRODUCED A POPULAR MARVEL'S AVENGERS-THEMED VIDEO CAMPAIGN "AGENDA: INEQUALITY - THE G7 MUST CHANGE THE ENDGAME" TO ENGAGE THE PUBLIC WITH THE ISSUE OF GENDER EQUALITY AHEAD OF THE SUMMIT, DEPICTING EACH OF THE G7 LEADERS AS ONE OF MARVEL'S AVENGERS. THE VIDEO AMASSED 1.4 MILLION VIEWS ACROSS SOCIAL MEDIA AND REACHED OVER 2 MILLION PEOPLE. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, ONE CONTINUED ITS WORK TO EDUCATE AND RAISE AWARENESS WITH THE PUBLIC, MEDIA AND POLICYMAKERS IN NORTH AMERICA, EUROPE AND AFRICA ON KEY ISSUES. |
