| FORM 990, PART III, LINE 4A | Major accomplishments in FY 2019 include the following: 1) RCH continues to maintain and expand a breast feeding program for the community and provides education and patient support to breast feeding mothers in the community. Acquired an international board certified lactation consultant. The hospital provides Childbirth Education Classes. The hospital provides infant seats to all newborn upon discharge from the hospital. The department is very active in fund raising for support of department activities. 2) The hospital attested to Meaningful Use Stage 3) Hospital staff provides education to the community including smoking cessation and works closely with area schools on prevention of head injuries occurring during sports. 4) The hospital maintains the outpatient seniors group therapy program Senior Life Solutions. 5) Retained and recertified for our Level 4 Trauma certification. 6) Developed a new website and met the price transparency requirements for CMS. 7) Continue Case Management services for our patients. 8) Partnered with local Senior center to do monthly blood pressure checks. 9) Hospital partnered with local schools implement the Stop the Bleed program which provides local school rooms with trauma tourniquet kits in every room, also partnered with local school districts to have classes tour the hospital on multiple occasions. 10) Began process to bring community Parkinson support groups to community. 11) Hospital regularly hosts open forum coffee for local chamber of commerce. 12) In October the hospital held its 3nd annual community health fair in conjunction with the North Central Kansas Healthcare foundations physician recruitment radiothon. 13) Hospital also regularly serves as a clinical site for nursing students and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students from a neighboring community college. 14) The hospital qualified to raise it's National Health Services Core (NHSC) HPSA score to a 19 allowing us to have a better chance at physician recruitment through this program. 15) Provided extended hours for mammography services through creative event planning. 16) Started participating in meals on wheels for community. 17) Acquired a certified diabetic educator. 18) Supplied patients discharging from our ED with flu kits. 19) Began process to become an approved site for Kansas State University's new PA program. 20) Conducted our 2019 Community Health Needs Assessment.
