	Reading and writing serves to sharpen student attentiveness, strengthen perseverance, equip students to be creative, and supports better study habits and self-esteem. Students with creative outlets are more likely to excel in core studies, as well as present fewer disciplinary problems. We seek to provide a focused curriculum in poetry and creative writing in furtherance of all those goals. The primary goal of the Links to Literature: Young Writers Program is, in partnership with the Walker Mill Middle School, to support specific and targeted activities that promote interest in the Literary Arts at the 6th and 7th grade levels. Additional goals include: 1. With the assistance of organizational sponsors , introducing both high and low performing students to the art of poetry, novel and short story writing. 2. Providing forums for students to perform and/or publish their written work. 3. Providing students the opportunity to interface with highly acclaimed writers of children's books, poetry, short stories and novels to increase their overall awareness of literature. 4. Increase students' motivation to read literature and write creatively in support of reading proficiency and literacy. 5. Present and promote opportunities for students to continue their pursuit of their interest in writing as they matriculate through high school and college.

	The Links, Incorporated established the SERVICES TO YOUTH program and leveraged relationships with community partners to expose and create learning experiences that incite interest in STEM careers. The chapter's mission is to engage students and encourage their interest in careers that they may not have otherwise considered. Include STEM career professionals in student focused conversations that increase knowledge, understanding and opportunity with STEM careers in a manner that draws comparison to everyday activities to STEM and other non traditional science fields. In collaboration and partnership with our targeted middle school and community-based partner, Patriots Technology Training Center, the Ignite the Fire Dare to Dream program used a multi-thronged approach to engage, encourage and expose students to possible STEM careers. Our first initiative was to work with the community school Parent Support Group to introduce and gain support of our program. In a shared forum with community partners, administrators and students we discussed our long and short term objectives and overall vision for the program. The initial conversation with parents created a foundational understanding and cooperation for the program. Our initial meeting with parents included approximately 20 parents and 5 administrators. At the program's onset, we planned to engage 100 Walker Mill Middle School students. Since that time, Walker Mill's attendance has grown to over 220 students. We succeeded in elevating the interest in STEM careers and within 2019 we are tracking graduates from the middle school who have attended science and tech high schools. We have now started the process of establishing a NSBE Jr. Chapter in the school.

	The Links, Incorporated established the HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES Facet in response to the chronic disparities that persist. This year, the Prince George's (MD) County in partnership with the Mount Rose (MD) Chapters of The Links, Incorporated hosted our first Green Table Talk discussion, "Broken Memories - A Spotlight on Dementia and Alzheimer". In Prince George's County, Maryland, our mission is service to our community and promote education and awareness around topics that enhance the lives of its residents. As you are aware, discussions surrounding the disease and its impact on the African American community are both timely and sensitive. The objective of this program is to strengthen ones knowledge and prepares them with key information on the impact and effects of this disease.

	The Links, Incorporated established NATIONAL TRENDS AND SERVICES. The mission of this program is to inform all middle school students of the constitution and its historical place in our government and laws as it relates to three branches of government. The initiative is in support of Constitution Day September 17, 2019 and in direct partnership with the former Link Patricia Rosier member of Prince George's County Chapter of The Links and past president of the National Bar Association ( NBA) and chair of the NBA's National 2019 Constitution Day Initiative, the J Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, Prince George's County Education System and local County Attorney's. The curriculum taken from the National Constitution Center was delivered by 200 leading legal scholars and attorneys in Prince George's County and members of the Prince George's County Chapter of the Links. The curriculum was delivered to all 45 middle schools in the county and included over 29,000 middle school students. For the purposes of the 2019 program we focused on Voting and the historical significance of the democratic process. The program initiative is a repeated program and will be delivered annually on Constitution Day in the county with focus on specific founding principles contained in the document. In 2019, the emphasis was on voting, the right to vote and the impact of voting on local laws, ordinances and national policy. Every participant (29,000) in the program was provided a personal copy of the US Constitution and opportunity to apply learnings to local news items. The long term impact of our program seeks to improve vote engagement, improve dialogue on current news and allow a deeper understanding of current events and its impact on the US Constitution document and understanding of the meaning and intent in the documents.

	The Links Incorporated established the International Trends and Services facet with the foremost goal of providing opportunities for tangible service in other countries. The chapter uses a boots on the ground approach to provide more personalized methods for assisting and improving the lives of women children and men worldwide through long term programs committed to empowerment and public policy leadership in advocating for social justice. Non Governmental Organization program initiatives include Linking with Haitian Women Survival Kits. To implement this Non Governmental Organization program initiative our chapter has educated members on the plight of international sisters and assembled bags with love to include personal notes and toiletries for Haitian women who were affected by the devastating 2010 Earthquake. We recently invited the Women of Wisdom to attend Prince Georges Community College to help us assemble these bags and gain awareness of the continued plight of Haitian women.

Form 990, Part III, Line 3	Due to COVID-19, the chapter had to suspend all planned programming activities and create virtual programming opportunities for the community for the remainder of the programming year.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6	The Prince George's County (MD) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was chartered March 24, 1979 by 22 women. Linked in friendship and service, the chapter stands 70 members strong, committed to transforming communities and fulfilling our purpose.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b	All members of the organization have a voice in how the governing body governs the organization.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	After the Treasury has completed the 990, she presents the President with a copy of the file to conduct a review. After questions have been answered and issues resolved, then the 990 is filed and a copy is provide to Nationals. A copy of the transmittal is printed and kept in the Treasury's records until turned over to achieved. The filing is also a part of the Treasury's report to the chapter.
