Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Northwest Hydroelectric Association (NWHA) provides a regional voice for the hydropower industry, representing the needs of its membership since 1981. NWHA is dedicated to the promotion of the nation's waterpower as a clean, efficient, cost-effective renewable energy resource while protecting the fisheries and enviormental quality characterizing our Northwest region.

Annual Conference: This event occurs every February within the Northwest region to provide information through speaker presentations to the membership and non-member attendees. Costs include the hotel meeting space, printed materials, catering supplies and contracted services provided at the conference site to implement activity. There were 379 attendees participating in the 2019 conference. The conference is 2 days in length.

Workshops and Seminars: In this fiscal year NWHA provided a Technical Workshop in Walla Walla, Washington in October for the education of hydropower operators and engineers; a tour was included. Approximately 165 individuals participated in the technical workshop. There was also a Small Hydro Workshop in Hood River, Oregon in April for 79 attendees. The workshop provided education to a variety of industry members (consultants, generators, etc.). Revenue and expenses for both events are listed above.
