What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO ORGANIZE, PROMOTE, AND TEACH THE ARTS OF KENDO AND IAIDO
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Promotional exams. Provided five opportunities for members to test for a higher rank. Giving incentive for our members to build their skills and a venue to put those skills to the test. 213 people tested, with ages ranging from 9 to 73.

29 National Tournament Support. Provided support to 21 youth and 5 leaders to attend the Junior Open Kendo National Championships, giving the opportunity for the kids to compete with youth from across the country.

30 Seminars. Offered two Iaido and two Kendo seminars, open to all members of the federation. They provided instruction on technique, judging, and competing in tournaments. The seminars built community among the members and helped to develop their mind, body, spirit, and character.

Tournaments (1 Kendo and 1 Iaido). Provided the opportunity for members of all clubs in the federation to compete with each other and with competitors from across the United States and Canada. The kendo tournament had 254 competitors; the iaido tournament, 19. Tournaments not only offer the chance to win, but also always provide practitioners the opportunity to identify weaknesses and improve their skill.

PART V LINE 34 Significant change to By-laws. The Board of Directors approved a change to how the board is formed each year. Instead of having a set number of positions filled by a general election of the entire membership, now each club in the federation may select one or two members (depending on the size of their club) to serve on the board. In addition, there are five at-large positions on the board that can be filled by any nominated member and are chosen through election at the board level.
