FORM 990 EZ Part III - Line 28 Program Service Accomplishment - 6th Knox Asian Festival - Main event We organized 6th Knox Asian Festival at World Fair Park. We have grown 3,000 participants in 2014 to 60,000 participants in 2019. We had to move our location to World Fair park which 3 part of park that can hold 60,000 people. We provided passport program which kids and family get passport to travel around the Asian Country booth and learn about language, culture, dance and music. We provided taste of Asian oods. Foods is a big culture of Asian country. We also had a kids play area which they can learn about traditional play in Asia. Our performers came from all over the USA to perform traditional performing arts at Amphitheater which has 1,250 seats. This is annual Festival which makes community come togerther & celebrate our life. Our survey shows that since we started Asian Festival, School teachers are very interested in teaching their student about world at their school. Many school started to have their own international Festival at their schools. We provide this Festival FREE to public to invite everyone to celebrate. We have had many rural area school students as school trip, Many people came from other state. *Marketing for Festival $,9,391 (Video Creation, News paper AD, email marketing, school visits, Facebook AD and more) *Contracted service provider $37,996( Performers, Park Location fee, Police, EMS, Rental equipment, Music equipment and more) *Admin $5488(NEW Web site creation, INK, Membership fee, NPO learning Class fee, DROP BOX, Office supply) *Fundraising cost $2,766 (Appreciation Plaque, Appreciation certificate,How to Fundraising Class, and more) *Festival Expense $19120 ( Festival Supplies, Banners, T-shirt, Volunteer food & water, Uhaul, Tent, Ice,and more) Total $74762 FORM 990 EZ Part III - Line 29 Program Service Accomplishment - Year of Pig 5K/1 mile walk race The race is part of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month takes place in the United States every May. It celebrates the culture, traditions, and history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders throughout the United States. The mission of the Asian Culture Center of TN is to invest in the Greater Knoxville Community and East Tennessee and promote peace, harmony, unity and a healthy lifestyle. The proceeds from this race will go toward creating an educationally themed festival where we will be providing educational services to public schools in Knoxville and surrounding areas. *Race registration revenue $5,963.98 *Sponsorship $3,000 *Race Expense $5901.54 We are planning to increase more runners for next year to have successful race to deliver mission. FORM 990 EZ Part III - Line 30 Program Service Accomplishment - Business seminar/sister City program/ School outreach program We organized 1st Asian Business seminar. We invited officials from Nashville economic department to learn about Asian investment in TN.We have invited local business company to discuss how we can contribute to TN. We have learned 50% of foreign investment is coming from Japan. TN has 52,000 employee in these companies. University learned about this fact. University is trying to connect how higher education can support these companies to educate students. *Seminar expense $905.98 Asian Culture Center of TN is supporting Knoxville - Muroran sister City program which we exchange the Home stay program. Cedar bluff middle school sent students to stay at Muraoran sisiter city family. We teach studnets Japanese culture, language before they go. We also help school program when Muroran City student come. It has 28 years history of sister city relationship. *Expense $2,085.00 Cultural Outreach program Asian Culture Center of TN goes to public schools, private Schools, senior center, homeschooling organizations to teach about Asian Cultures. We have Kendo(Japanese Martial arts) demo, Shamisen music performance, Mochi tuki culture experience , Reading program Culture seminar, craft class, music class, to expose K-12 Students, University students and senior to learn about Asian cultures. Asian Culture Center of TN seeks talented people in town and connect to educational organizations. It is very successful program. NOW Many public school is organizing International Festival to educate their own students. Asian Culture Center of TN helps teachers to organize school Festival.
