What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Rotary Club of Bishop Sunrise is a member of Rotary International, the beginnings of which was the world's first service club. Rotarians pool their resources and talents to help serve community needs, best expressed in the Rotarian motto "Service Above Self".
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The organization provided leadership, manpower, and financial contributions for various community programs and activities including assistance with Interact and RYLA, (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards), involvement with various programs to assist the needy or disabled such as assistance at the local Methodist Church Soup Kitchen the first Friday of every month, selection of high school graduates to receive scholarship awards, hosting visits of out of town Rotarians and participation in numerous community service events and programs, Christmas bell ringing with the Salvation Army, and sponsorship of the local Earth Day gathering. The organization continues its long time focus and involvement with activities working towards the eradication of Polio.
