Explanation:
MBL is a relatively small organization, and experienced two staff departures in February and March of 2019. One of the departing staff members was responsible for filing this Form 990. A remaining staff member temporarily covered the responsibilities of the two departed staff until new staff was hired. MBL files six Form 990s for various plans and trusts, and in reviewing the various filing requirements and due dates, the MBL believed that an extension had been filed for the Form 990 noted above. The return was then filed by the due date of the extension, as if the extension had been in place. MBL has completed all of its required filing and has now hired additional staff to cover required tasks.
